Beauty nights! Baseball! Climbing Trees! Wrestling! Teaching! Oh My!

We have just been hanging out since Spring Break started. We took a trip to Gaga and Papa's and had some fun time at home. Our entire family even played a soccer game out back. Grace had so much fun that she declared we do it every Saturday. Too funny! Actually, the funniest part is that Brian and I are sore. We are getting old!
Mr. Eli playing baseball.
Papa had the kids stomp in his garden to get it ready for planting! They really enjoyed this.

Ava climbing...with Papa as her spotter.

Here they are discussing what to plant with Papa.

I'm not sure who is the child...Papa or Ava?

Kisses from the tree top for Papa.

Grace loves to climb trees! (She is sporting her new pens on her lanyard. This is the new 1st grade craze. Awwww...to be young again.)

Our homemade wrestling match.

We surprised Lucas for lunch at school.

Grace couldn't sleep the night before our visit to Grandma's school. She was nervous to help "teach".

Everyone is working on their backbends.

The girls had a beauty night....Check out our toes.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We started our St. Patrick's Day Celebration Planning some time ago. The kids and I have been reading "Twas the Night Before St. Patrick's Day"; a book about how leprechauns are sneaky, quick, and like gold. The two characters in the book try to catch the leprechauns by building traps. In the end of the book, the characters find that the leprechauns were silly and messed up their rooms before getting away. At our house, we reenacted the book...starting with the construction of our trap and then waking to gold candy and a messy room! It was fun!

My Handyman!

Mr. Handyman was at it all weekend. He finished the playset...with the help of the kids, and checked out the wind damage on our roof. (I refrained from posting some great pictures of Brian when he first "scaled" the roof like spiderman. Quite the view...let me tell you.) It has been great weather for us...so having the swingset done has been a blessing! We captured the older three kiddos sliding for the monumental first time!

Our Week!

It has been a busy week for the Hensley's. We are ready to get the week behind us and start fresh with a warm one next week. It started with constructing our much needed playset for the backyard. The next morning Mr. Eli had a church concert pictured below. As you can see in the picture, he was shy and needed Ava to join him...or drag him...on stage for moral support. It was cute. This week, the kids took turns shopping with me to find some bargains for their closets. I posted a picture of some of Si's finds as well. Eventhough he isn't here yet, he doesn't get left out. Grace and Ava also had some beauty time. Grace enjoyed looking at herself with her "mask" on in the mirror and Ava is super proud of her "wred" toes. We also squeezed in some classes for the adoption, a conference call with AGCI, and a family trip to the library. Gaga and Papa also surprised us last night with a visit and a sleepover. Papa had doctor's appointments in Chicago today.

My Days

My days are filled with the pitter patter of toddler feet. Here is an example of the little toes that run through my home each day. Lots of Drinks to fill!!!
I love all the little people in my house. They keep me running...too bad they can't keep me thin while chasing them around!

Happy 5th Birthday Handsome Boy!

Elijah James Hensley was born 5 years ago today! We love our little man.
This year he chose to have a costume bowling party. The boys dressed as superheroes and the girls wore princess costumes. The bowling alley was quite busy, but Eli didn't seem to mind. He was more worried about getting to his presents and the game room.
Today, our family surprised him for lunch at Chuck E. Cheese. He and I also ran errands and he convinced me to buy him more gifts...He really had to twist my arm with his cute little voice and face let me tell you!
He is my baby and I can't believe he is 5 years old today!!! Love you baby boy!
Coming soon...Baby Pix of my little man!
