Happy Birthday and Baptism Silas!

My little guy is "1".
All of the kids wore their traditional Ethiopian Garb to Silas' baptism. In the picture below, Pastor Lori asked Eli if he would help share the word of God through stories with Silas. Eli simply shook his head "no". Ha!
Silas started sucking his fingers...a little nervous about the water maybe?
A very special treat today was having our friends down from the Milwaukee area. I had never met their son "Bear"!! They traveled all day pretty much...just for us. (Thanks!) We also discovered that our Ethiopian Prince's slept next to each other in Hannah's Hope.
Sooooo cute!

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!". Between no naps and being nervous about people gathering around him and singing, Silas shed a few tears at his party...which isn't typical for him!
All the "goods"

**Awesome book...It took me three times to read it in its entirety. I kept crying and had to stop. This is a MUST HAVE...pretend I'm screaming it to you.

Spring has sprung...

Silas loves his bath
Grilling time!! Daddy and Silas snuggle to celebrate.
"Hey Eli...It is Spring and you don't need a coat."

Silas still loves his fingers. Look at the grin he is hiding underneath!

Ava loves bubbles and all of her "faces" show it.

Outside Fun!

Boys will be boys...look at Eli and his cousins trying to get all of the ice off the trampoline.

My Sweet Baby Eli is "6"

My big "6" year old!!
Eli picked eating at Godfather's Pizza. He loves to play in the ball pit. As you can see by the pictures, so do the other kiddos.
Eli and his buddy Alex

Happy Boy...He spent the day at school. While there, the kids at home made him a special cake and surprised him. Daddy also made it to school to sing to him and pass out treats.

On Saturday, Eli had his party at a local gym. The kids had the opportunity to have the gym all to themselves and run around and have fun. It was nice and relaxing! Eli counted down the days until the big bash...and that day he counted the minutes and asked often "how much longer". After several mommy and Eli trips to the store, we successfully stuffed his goody bags, picked out his cake, and checked out potential "mom and dad" birthday presents in the toy aisles.

Eli picked an army theme this year. Here are his yummy cupcakes.
Before the party, you can see that Silas was anxious to check out the gym through the party room.

The Big Birthday Boy...who insisted on this outfit at the store and that he HAD to have it for his party. How could I say no?
