A Great Family Weekend Away!

We took a relaxing weekend vacation with our friends; The Tecklenburg's. It was great to see them and to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere with such great people.

As you can see in the pictures below, the kids were very excited to arrive at the resort.

Beach Fun!

Eli was excited to "catch some waves"
We had fun snuggling in the hotel room. We had the perfect view of the lake and hotel features!
The kids looking over the lake from the bluff.

Our family.
Playing with Maia. Gymnastics fun!
The Tecklenburg and Hensley clan.

This would be "Captain Feathersword's" Boat. It was a fun ride for tourists.
The marina which we passed walking to the beach.
Our walk to the beach.

A solution to a running toddler. Heeeheee!
My handsome fella...pre-burn! Yikes!
Grace enjoyed rolling her entire body in the sand. I'm not sure I would. EEEWWWW.
Snack Time. I wonder how much sand they ate with their snacks.
More rolling....This time sand angels.

Trace.

Blowing Kisses!

More gymnastics.

Eli playing some baseball with Teck.

Not tired in the hotel room....
Shuffle board time.

Pool Time was our favorite! We spent most of our time in the toddler and "big" pool, but did manage to sneak in 10 minutes in the hot tub before checking out. Actually, we "turned the tables"...only the kids got in while the grown-ups watched. Brian was too sunburned!

We spent some time doing tricks into the pool!
There were lots of giggles from everyone.

Grace successfully swam from one side of the pool to the other without taking a breath. I got the picture to prove it.
These two are one in the same...ornery.
One evening Grace and I stayed by ourselves in the pool until sunset! It was wonderful to spend time with her and to work on gymnastics and swimming tricks with her. The beautiful view of the lake didn't hurt either.
The "sunset"

Before leaving we walked to downtown area. The kids picked out toys in the cutest little toy store. We had a wonderful time and are already planning next year's trip.

Some random videos of our fun!
